Service and mission are at the heart of what we do, and for over 90 years, we have let that guide our impact across the state of Michigan, serving 38,000 people each year. Our vision is: Samaritas will walk alongside individuals and families to nurture lasting personal growth, connection and empowerment in order to realize their fullest potential, creating the opportunity for people and communities to thrive.

What We Do
Serve more foster children and complete more domestic adoptions than any other nonprofit in Michigan ​
Serve struggling families by strengthening them as a family unit and helping them thrive with family preservation programming​
Create new and safe homes for refugees, and provide cultural integration, job training and education​
Offer Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services (SUD) services to help address substance misuse issues in many Michigan households​
Provide affordable living communities for families, seniors, and people with disabilities​
