Samaritas, through a comprehensive continuum of care, provides a wide variety of Child Welfare programs that connect families and youth with the necessary supports to promote safety and well-being. Through Foster Care, Adoption, Independent Living Plus and Family Preservation, we strive to meet the unique needs of each family and individual, focusing on their stability and future success.

Foster Care

More than 10,000 foster youth in Michigan need temporary homes where they can feel safe, secure and loved.

Adoption

Through Samaritas’ Adoption program - Legacy Adoption Services - we help foster youth up for adoption in Michigan find a “lifelong loving family.” At Samaritas, we are committed to finding permanent, loving homes for children in need of adoption.

Independent Living

Samaritas offers support services for young adults transitioning from foster care to independent living, including life skills training, educational support, and housing assistance.
