Families Together Building Solutions

Progress can happen if we work together!

Families Together Building Solutions (FTBS) works with your family for an average of 3 to 6 months. Your Family Worker will meet with you and your family in your home or community at times convenient for you. Your Family Worker will spend an average of 3 hours a week with you and your family, with no more than 7 days in between visits. The FTBS program offers 24/7 availability to your family in instances of an emergency. The FTBS program will follow-up up to 12 months after successful completion of the program.

FTBS is an intensive home-based intervention that focuses on the family’s strengths to resolve problems. The premise of the program is using solution focused techniques to have the family utilize their own resilience as they become self-sufficient.

FTBS is a moderately intensive, solution-focused approach designed to serve families with multiple problems who could benefit from such services. Department of Human Services is the gateway for acceptance of families for this service, and families may be referred from Children's Protective Services, Foster Care Reunification, Delinquency Services and Prevention. Program services are voluntary and without regard to family income.
