Samaritas Selects Erin Lyons as Clinical Director of Behavioral Health

DETROIT – Samaritas has selected Erin Lyons, LMSW, CAADC-DP, QMPH, CCTP, as the Clinical Director of Behavioral Health for Samaritas. Lyons will provide lead and support statewide behavioral health programs for Samaritas and the opening of the organization’s new Macomb County Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program in Warren, Mich.

Lyons brings extensive experience in substance use treatment, mental health, trauma-informed care, and clinical supervision. A Macomb County native, she is passionate about expanding access to high-quality behavioral health and substance use disorder services while strengthening programs that support both those receiving care and the professionals delivering it.
In her new role, Lyons will oversee behavioral health initiatives across Samaritas, provide clinical leadership for SUD services statewide, and help expand innovative, evidence-based programming that improves outcomes for individuals and families throughout Michigan.

For Lyons, behavioral health is more than a profession. With more than 15 years in recovery, she understands firsthand that healing begins when people are met with compassion, accountability, and hope. That personal journey has shaped her commitment to creating programs where individuals feel respected, empowered, and supported on their path toward wellness.
As Samaritas continues to grow its behavioral health services, Lyons looks forward to building strong community partnerships, supporting innovative programming, and expanding access to care throughout the state. She believes every interaction has the potential to change a life and is committed to fostering a culture where both staff and program participants can thrive.
Outside of work, Lyons enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Michigan and continually learning new ways to strengthen behavioral health leadership and services.
