Crisis Support Services

Samaritas, in partnership with Priority Health, is launching a new service, Community Care Management (CCM). This program is designed to support individuals and families in times of a mental health crisis.

CCM wraps individuals and families with critical supports to help avert crisis or allow for a successful transition back home after hospitalization.

The CCM team consists of clinical and psychiatric providers who partner together to provide intensive intervention. Individuals in the CCM program receive priority access; clinical sessions are available within days and provided multiple times per week and access to psychiatric services is generally available within the first week and continue as needed.

CCM is intensive and time limited, generally lasting three months. When the situation has stabilized, services are reduced to a more traditional outpatient counseling model. In order to accommodate and also address the urgency of the need, services can be delivered in office, in the community, and through telehealth. Individuals may also be referred for additional behavioral health resources, such as individual, family, or group counseling.

Common Behavioral Health Struggles Include:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Trauma Assessments

Samaritas Behavioral Health Services Program has collaborated with WMU - Children's Trauma Assessment Team to provide Trauma Assessments and Attachment Assessments to children. Samaritas holds firm to the WMU - CTAC's model in providing quality, evidenced-based neurodevelopmental assessments.

Exposure to potentially traumatic events can affect a child's functioning with the cognitive, affective, behavioral and physiological domains.

Early detection of child trauma can minimize psychological and physiological risk of children.

The goal of the Trauma Assessment is to assess the impact of children following exposure to traumatic events and make recommendations for appropriate individual and family therapy services to alleviate the impacts of trauma on the child's life.

Referrals for Trauma Assessments are completed by your Child Welfare Worker. The directions on how to complete the referral are provided by the DHHS. When making a Trauma Assessment Referral, you must use the Michigan DHHS -5594 referral form.
